Show Notes

In this episode, Spanish Literature PhD candidate, Zach Glassett bring us "Don Quixote" by Cervantes. An epic tale of chivalry, a comedy of errors, and a tragedy- we can best compare this book to a combination of Homer's "Odyssey" and the 1975 film "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." Zach brings great insights as an own voices reader, to make this classic still relevant today.
There are so many reasons that this work is considered the first, great novel of western literature. Published in 1605, it's numerous translations come in second only to the Bible.
With so many great things to talk about, you'll just have to listen in!

And don't miss the great scifi/fantasy book recommendations at the end.
